WHAT IS THE GOSPEL FOR SALVATION?
(The Gospel: Fundemantal Of Christian Faith)
SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION

1. Christians Are Clueless About The Basic Core Of Their Salvation
a. We hear christians talking about preaching the gospel all the time but many of them don’t have a clue what is the gospel or where to find the gospel in the bible..
b. If we were to ask any pastors or christian what is the gospel and where to find the gospel in the bible??, 99% of the time most of them don't know or they will point us here and there and unable to come to a solid conclusion.
c. Even if we were to make a search in the internet about what is the gospel, most of the sites will say its this and that but not showing us the gospel.

2. Because Many Christians Don’t Know The Gospel, Many Christians Pervert The Gospel And Teach Heretical Ways To Be Saved
(i) Water Baptism
(ii) Asking God into your heart
(iii) Go to church, read the bible, etc
(iv) They use Romans Road to witness (where is God's blood mentioned here?)
(v) Some teach that the gospel is Acts 2:38 Repent and be baptized... (really??)
* They teach salvation is something a sinner "DOES". They claim a person's salvation is dependent upon the WORKS of the sinner

3. Problems Arising From Their Wrong Teaching
* Many innocent christians think that they are already saved because they did what these people are teaching but sadly they have gone far from the truth of God's word. Are they even saved?
* Noticed, people's salvation is at risk because the most basic core pertaining the gospel of salvation is not defined properly

4. How Salvation Is Supposed To Be According To The Bible?
* According to the Bible, salvation is by receiving (trust and believe by faith) WHAT JESUS DID on the cross of Calvary, when HE shed his blood to pay for the sins of man. HIS FINISHED WORK, done once and for all, is the only thing that can save a Sinner and give him forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

SECTION 2: WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

A. THE GOSPEL IS FOUND IN 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-4

1. The Gospel Is About The Death, Buriel And Resurrection Of Christ (His Blood Atonement For Our Sins)
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
* Noticed verse 1: ...I declare unto you the gospel... (Paul is presenting the gospel to us)
* the bible shows clearly this is the gospel (its here), yet people run here and there except to this verse to show us the gospel

Note:
* The gospel is Jesus’s death, buriel and resurrection (Its about the blood atonement of Christ for our sins that saves us)
* The gospel is the pillar of the Christian faith and the way of salvation and eternal life.
* The gospel is WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID FOR HUMANKIND TO SOLVE THEIR SIN PROBLEM SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE TO BE WITH GOD IN HEAVEN
* The keyword is "HOW CHRIST DIED"
* Jesus died in a bloody manner on a bloody cross and He shed His blood so that His blood is able to wash away all our sins. He became the blood sacrifice for our sins
* Our gospel is all about "WHAT GOD DID FOR US"
* Our gospel is "THE DID GOSPEL"
* A person is only saved by BELIEVING in the finished work of Jesus Christ, when He shed His Precious Blood for our sins.

a. According To The Bible, The Only Way To Receive Forgiveness Of Sins Is Through Blood
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

SECTION 3: THE GOSPEL POINTS TO THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF CHRIST FOR OUR SINS

1. It Is The Blood That Makes Atonement For The Soul, Life Of The Flesh In In The Blood
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

2. Without Shedding Of Blood Is No Forgiveness
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

3. What Is Atonement?
* Atonement is through blood shed sacricife usually in a form of an animal. Everytime in the bible when a person sins, God demands a blood sacrifice for their sins. Blood atonement sacrifice were done so that God can cover or forgive their sins. When someone does blood atonement sacrifices, they get forgiveness, remission from God

A. IN THE OLD TESTAMENT: 2 THINGS MUST TAKE PLACE TO GET FORGIVENESS OF SINS

PART 1: Blood Shed Sacrifice
PART 2: Priest To Offer That Blood To God (Make Atonement)

PART 1: BLOOD SHED SACRIFICE
1. The Sinner Is Required To Sacrifice An Innocent Animal By Killing & Slaying It Before God

Leviticus 4:1-7 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:
3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.
4 And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock's head, and kill the bullock before the LORD.
Leviticus 4:23-24 Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish:
24 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD: it is a sin offering.

PART 2: PRIEST TO OFFER THAT BLOOD TO GOD
1. The Priest Is Required To Offer & Apply That Blood Accordingly Inside The Tabernacle & Offer It To God

Leviticus 4:5-7 And the priest that is anointed shall take of the bullock's blood, and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation:
6 And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the vail of the sanctuary.
7 And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation; and shall pour all the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

2. This Is Where We Get The Word Atonement. That Blood Sacrifice Is For The Atonement Of Their Sin. Forgiveness Only Through Blood Atonement
Leviticus 4:26 And he shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall make an atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him.

3. Priest’s Are Required For Making Atonement For The Sin Of The People To Get Forgiveness Of Sin. Forgiveness & Remission Had To Come Through The Blood Of Animal Sacrifice As A Sin Offering
Leviticus 4:31, 35 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him.
35 And he shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest shall make an atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it shall be forgiven him.
Numbers 15:28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
Leviticus 5:6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

Note:
* The blood atonement for forgiveness of sins is done through innocent animal blood sacrifices to God. When this is done, then God will give the sinner forgiveness. That's what appeases God's wrath. It is about blood being shed from the innocent for the guilty

B. IN THE NEW TESTAMENT: 2 THINGS THAT TOOK PLACE FOR JESUS TO GET REDEMPTION OF SINS FOR US

Part 1: Blood Shed Sacrifice (The Lamb Of God To Take Away The Sins Of The World)
Part 2: High Priest To Offer That Blood To God (Make Atonement)

=> What Did Jesus Do? Jesus Shed His Blood To Do Blood Atonement Sacrifice For Our Sins
Hebrews 9:11-28
* The foundation of christianity is that God did blood atonement sacrifice for our sins when He died, buried and resurrected and we are saved based upon wheter or not we've believed and trusted what God did and not trusting in anything that we do.
* salvation is through the blood stain gospel not the modern bloodless gospel of today

PART 1: BLOOD SHED SACRIFICE (THE LAMB OF GOD TO TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD)
1. Jesus Came To Be The Sacrificial Lamb To Take Away The Sins Of The World

John 1:29, 36 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

PART 2: HIGH PRIEST TO OFFER THAT BLOOD TO GOD
1. Because Jesus Is Our High Priest, He Is Able To Make Atonement For Us

Hebrews 9:11-12 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

2. This Is How We Know Jesus Did An Atonement For Us: The Blood Jesus Shed Is For The Anonement Of Our Sins
Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

3. If Blood Of Animals Which Are Unclean Can Sanctify And Purify, How Much More Shall The Blood Of God Do For Us?
Hebrews 9:13-14 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

4. Besides Getting Forgiveness Of Sins For Us, Jesus Blood Achieved A Higher Standard: Jesus By His Own Blood Obtained Eternal Redemption For Us
Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

5. We Are Redeemed & Forgiven Through His Blood
Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Wrong Teaching
* This verse says redemption through his blood
* The modern bible versions removed “through his blood”

a. Modern Bible Versions Corrupt The Word Of God
[ESV] Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
[NIV] Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
[RSV] Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

6. We Are Redeemed By The Precious Blood Of Jesus Christ As A Lamb Without Blemish And Without Spot
1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

7. Because Of God’s Blood, We Are Justified And Saved From Hell
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him

SECTION 4: THERE ARE 5 POINTS IN THE GOSPEL

1. The Gospel Is About The Death, Buriel And Resurrection Of Christ (His Blood Atonement For Our Sins)
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

A. How Christ Died
B. For Our Sins
C. Was Buried
D. Rose Again
E. According To The Scriptures

* All these points talks about the important emphasis of the blood of Jesus Christ

A. HOW CHRIST DIED

1. The Death Of Christ Was For Known & Already Planned It Out By God
1 Peter 1:19-20 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Isaiah 53:6, 10 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

2. Jesus Suffered, Shed His Own Blood Voluntarily To Save The World
John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

3. Jesus Shed Every Drop Of His Precious Blood On The Cross Of Calvary Until Water Gushed Out, Dying In Man's Place For Man's Sins
John 19:33-34 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

B. FOR OUR SINS

2. Jesus Is Sinless. He Is The Innocent Sacrificial Lamb Shedding His Blood For The Guilty
a. God The Father Made Jesus To Be Sin For Us, Jesus Is Sinless, God Takes His Sinlessness And Imputes That To Us

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
* Jesus Christ took the sin of the entire world upon Himself and died in our place for our sins so that we might have His Righteousness and receiving the atonement for the forgiveness of sins of our soul

b. Jesus Did No Sin, He Died For Our Sins So We Can Live Unto Righteousness
1 Peter 2:22-24 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
* Jesus became what the old testament animals were, the innocent dying for the guilty.

c. Christ Once Suffered For Sins, The Just For The Unjust To Bring Us To God By His Death
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

3. In The Old Testament: Blood Atonement By Innocent Animal Sacrifices Were Required For Forgiveness Of Sins
Hebrews 9:19-22 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
* God wants innocent animal blood to cover up their sins

a. However, Blood Of Innocent Animals Is Not Perfect And Powerful Enough To Take Away Sins
Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

b. In The Old Testament, Priest Offers Ofentimes The Same Sacrifice Which Can Never Take Away Sins
Hebrews 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

c. God Says He Can Forgive Them But By No Means Clear Their Sins
Exodus 34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

4. In The New Testament: Blood Of God (Jesus) Is Perfect And Powerful Enough To Wash Away All Sins
a. Jesus Shed Pure And Perfect Innocent Blood

1 Peter 1:19-20 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

b. Jesus Did One Sacrifice For Sins Forever
Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Note:
* Why our works don't count for our salvation? Because our blood and the sweat of all our efforts that we do is corrupt in God’s eyes
* God only wants Jesus Christ's work and His blood because that is the only thing that is perfect and powerful enough
* Salvation of the old testament saints is different from the salvation of the church age christians
* Innocent animal blood were used but they were not perfect enough. Its too low in standard in God's eyes
* That's why old testament saints could not go to heaven before Jesus died
* They were counted as being forgiven but not redeemed
* God puts them in a temporary place of comfort in the underworld in Abraham's Bosom (Paradise) to wait until Jesus died and then when Jesus died, He went to the underworld and brought them to heaven
* Old testament saints had to actively do their own works of righteousness and perform innocent animal blood sacrifices for their salvation where else for christians, we just have to put our faith and trust in the precious blood of Jesus as the finished works for our salvation
* Many churches don't preach about the importance of Jesus's blood as they don't see what's so special about His blood and yet it is such an important topic as it is concerning our basic core of christianity that is pertaining to our gospel of salvation

C. WAS BURIED

1. When Abel Died, His Shed Blood Speaks To God
Genesis 4:10 ... the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

2. When Jesus Died, His Blood Speaks As Well: It Says The Innocent (JESUS) Died For The Guilty (Us Sinners)!
Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

D. ROSE AGAIN

1. When Jesus Resurrected From The Dead, Jesus Told Mary Magdelene Don't Touch Him Because He Have Not Ascended To God The Father In Heaven
John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

2. Then Jesus Ascended To The Heaven To Offer His Blood To God In Heaven
Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Hebrews 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

3. Because Jesus Is Our High Priest, He Is Able To Make Atonement For Us And Obtained Eternal Redemption For Us
Hebrews 9:11-12 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

4. This Is How We Know Jesus Did An Atonement For Us: The Blood Jesus Shed Is For The Atonement Of Our Sins
Romans 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

5. The Whole Universe Needs God's Blood
Hebrews 9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

6. God's Blood Is Spread Throughout The Entire Universe
Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Note:
* Humans at any time or day can go wherever in the universe to plead for the blood of Jesus Christ because its available anywhere and everywhere

E. ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES

* The whole Old Testament points to Jesus Christ as the Messiah. He's pictured time and again in all the sacrifices the Jews slaughtered in the temple for the atonement of their sins.
* When Jesus died on the cross as the sacrificial Lamb of God, shedding His blood, He fulfilled prophecy written of Him all throughout the Old Testament.

Note:
* The gospel is Jesus’s death, buriel and resurrection (Its about the blood atonement of Christ for our sins that saves us)
* The gospel is the pillar of the Christian faith and the way of salvation and eternal life
* The gospel is WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID FOR HUMANKIND TO SOLVE THEIR SIN PROBLEM SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE TO BE WITH GOD IN HEAVEN
* The apostate gospel is "THE DO GOSPEL" : One needs to do something to get saved
* If we don't preach the blood, have we even preached the gospel?
* If we don’t hear the blood, have we even heard the gospel?

SECTION 5: CONCLUSION

1. To Be Saved, The Bible Teaches That Salvation Is By Faith Without Works
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

2. Faith In What? Faith In God’s Blood (Jesus’s Blood)
Romans 3:25-28 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
* Noticed the verse: “faith in his blood”
* Noticed the object of faith (God's blood) is the most important thing that people tend to neglect
* Salvation is by faith in the blood atonement of Jesus Christ.

Note:
* To be justified, or saved, a person's faith must be wholly in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This declares God the Just one. When a sinner is saved, he cannot boast about himself or his works. He'll only brag upon Jesus who saved him from his sins!

* Sadly, in our modern age of apostasy, there are very few who claim to be Christians that ever preach about the blood of Jesus, and the need to trust in it for salvation. But the simple Bible truth is, ONE CANNOT EVEN BE A CHRISTIAN UNLESS ONE IS TRUSTING ONLY IN THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!
