TRINITY OF GOD
(Theology: Doctrine Of God)
SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION

* Godhead is three distinct persons as one God.
* The word ‘Trinity’ does not exist in the Bible, the biblical word for this is ‘Godhead’.

1. There Is Only One God
Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

2. God The Father, God The Son And God The Holy Spirit Is God
a. The Father Is God

John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

b. The Holy Ghost Is God
Acts 5:3-4 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
* Verse 3: Peter said to the person lied to the Holy Ghost
* Verse 4: Peter said He lied to God
* Holy Ghost = God

c. The Son Is God
John 20:26, 28 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

3. Here, The Bible Mentions ‘Godhead’, Which Refers To Father, Son, And Holy Spirit
Acts 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

4. Man Is Created After The Godhead With 3 Different Parts (Body, Soul And Spirit)
1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Note:
* These 2 verses above tells us that we are created after the Godhead and mankind has 3 different parts (body soul and spirit)
* Then obviously the Godhead has 3 different parts as well (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit)
* God the Father = Soul
* God the Son = Body
* God the Holy Spirit = Spirit

5. Things Of Creation Shows The Godhead
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
* the Godhead is revealed in His creation
* Egg = 3 parts (yoke, white, shell)
* Sun = 3 parts (alpha, beta, gamma rays)
* God = 3 parts (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit)
* 3 distinct person, not the same but still the same God

6. All Distinct Beings Fill Are Made Up Within Filling Up Within One God The Godhead
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

SECTION 2: GOD MENTIONED AS PLURAL

1. God Refers Himself As “Us” During Creation
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

2. God Refers Himself As “Us” After Adam Sinned
Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

3. God Refers Himself As “Us” During The Tower Of Babel
Genesis 11:6-7 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

4. Jesus Refers Himself As “Us” When He Came To Be Baptized By John The Baptist
Matthew 3:14-15 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

SECTION 3: DISTINCTIONS OF TRINITY

1. God The Father Is Greater Than God The Son (In Human Form)
John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

2. God The Son (In The Form Of God) Is Equal To God The Father
Philippians 2:5-7 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

3. God The Holy Spirit Is Not To Exalt Himself But Jesus
John 16:13-14 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Note:
* They are 3 different person but one God
* They are one but not the same
* The egg has 3 different elements but they are one egg
* The white can never be the yolk, the yolk can never be the shell, the shell can never be the white
* They are not the same however they are the same as an egg
