2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
* its our duty to care for these mysteries that are found in the bible. We are called to be faithful. That means we as the stewards of the mysteries of God should faithfully preach and teach these to other people.
* the reason for preaching these is because these mysteries form the very foundation of the christian faith and sound doctrine.
* if christians can be rooted in these doctrines that are found in the scriptures in the form of mysteries, then there is very little chance for christians to go astray from sound doctrine.
* why is it that there is so much liberalism and apostasy among christians? Its because christians have not been taught the very fundamental doctrines of the scriptures.
* A mystery in the bible is a doctrine that can be believed but cannot be fully explained. So we are going to try to make a feeble atempt to try to expalain and understand these great mysteries
* God has given us the whole council of God in the scriptures. When we compare scripture with scripture, other portion of the scriptures can throw enough light on these mysteries for us to be able to understand them at least to the extend that it can make us strong in our faith in the scriptures and in the Lord Jesus Christ
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
* God revealed these mysteries unto the apostle Paul and in these verses we read that Paul went to reveal it to the other apostles
* Noticed the verse: "who created all things by Jesus Christ:"
* Jesus is God. He was the one who created everything
* KJV says “who created all things by Jesus Christ:”
* New bible versions removed the word “by Jesus Christ”
[NIV] Ephesians 3:9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
[NLT] Ephesians 3:9 I was chosen to explain to everyone[a] this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.
[RSV] Ephesians 3:9 and to make all men see what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in[a] God who created all things;
* New bible versions take out the word "by Jesus Christ" and so they attack the deity of Christ
* The KJV bible tells us that Jesus is the creator. So Jesus is God, the creator
* In the begining God created... that was Jesus speaking before Jesus came to the earth in a bodily form, He was alive and well in heaven
* Noticed "God was manifest in the flesh": Who is that? God, Jesus Christ
* This tells us the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh.
* This is about the mystery of the incarnation of Christ
* Incarnation comes from latin word meaning in the flesh. So God was manifest in the flesh accroding to the KJV
* KJV says “God” was manifest in the flesh
* New bible versions removed the word “God” and replaced it with “He”
[NIV] 1 Timothy 3:16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit,[a] was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
[RSV] 1 Timothy 3:16 Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion: He[a] was manifested in the flesh, vindicated[b] in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
* Who is “He”? There is no word to which the word “He” can be related to even if we look at the context verses before and after it.
* Why would they change the word "God" to "He"?
* That shows that somebody who hates the deity of Christ is trying to change the word of God
* So, who was manisfest in the flesh? If we have the new version of the bible, we don't know. Some guy we don't know... it was a "he". But if we have the KJV Bible, we know exactly who was manisfest in the flesh. It was Jesus Christ and who is Jesus Christ? He is God
* Thank God for the KJV Bible. New versions continuously attacks the deity of Jesus Christ
b. The Virgin Birth Of Christ
* The man who preaches it and the message will look like foolishness to those who don’t believe
* We take the modern bible versions and compare all the verses that talk about the deity of Christ againts the KJV bible and we will see the every single time the KJV upholds this great doctrine of the deity of Christ and almost every single time these modern versions attacks the deity of Christ and make people to doubt the divinity of Christ that God was manisfest in the flesh.
(i) John The Baptist Said: Behold The Lamb Of God, Which Taketh Away The Sin Of The World
* Why is that important? The life of the flesh is in the blood and we are all sinners and because of that, we have sinful tainted blood.
* If the blood of Jesus mixed with the blood of His mother, then Jesus would have been a sinner with a sinful nature with a sinful blood like our's.
* So, His blood must have never mixed with the blood of His mother. So, when Jesus Christ died and shed His blood, He shed whose blood?
* God purchased us with His own blood.
* Jesus Christ died on the cross to shed His blood to purchase His church
* This verse just showed us its God's blood.
* The bible tells us that Jesus Christ is none other than God manifest in the flesh
* This denomination claims themselves as Christians but they don’t believe Jesus is God
* They claim that Jesus is not God. He is just a lesser god.
* In John 1:18, they changed the bible and attack the deity of Christ and made Jesus a little god (lower case "g') rather than God with a capital "G"
* They will say that Jesus never mentioned He is God. Where in the bible does it say that?
* thou shalt know no "god" but me => small caps = "lesser god"
11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Isaiah 44:8 ... Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
* So, obviously its the same God of the old testament and the new testament and that God is Jesus Christ
* we have to be careful on denominations that claim that Jesus is not God. That's of the Satan. He likes to deceive people and he hates that Jesus Christ is God
* Jesus Christ is God
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
* The miracles of Jesus are powerful miracles not some street magic
* Jesus healed, brought back the dead
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
* God cannot chose to come a man through a natural relationship of a man and a woman because then, He would have inherited the sinful nature of mankind.
* a woman does not have a seed. Its a man who have a seed.
* This was written about 700 years before Jesus Christ was born and this prophecy was given by God
* We will see what Immanuel means and it has to do with God
* Its a propecy that Jesus would be born of a virgin (a woman who have never known a man, a woman who have never had sexual relations with a man)
* What is that? That is a miracle for a woman to not get pregnant without ever knowing a man
* KJV says Jesus is born by “a virgin”
* Modern bible versions changed it to “young woman” or “the virgin” (Jesus is born of a young woman?, Jesus is born of the virgin?)
[ESV] Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.[a]
[NIV] Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you[a] a sign: The virgin[b] will conceive and give birth to a son, and[c] will call him Immanuel.[d]
[NKJV] Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.[a]
[NLT] Isaiah 7:14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin[a] will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).
* New versions change the word of God again and it always seemed to happen pertaining to the deity of Christ. It almost sounds like a conspiracy that someone does not want us to know that Jesus Christ is God. Who could that be? Satan?
* It is so important to have the KJV Bible, otherwise we have a watered down version which constantly attacks the deity of Jesus Christ
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
* The Holy Spirit put his seed into Mary and she, a virgin gave birth
* Emmanuel means God with us => Jesus is God.
* Its a miracle birth which we cannot explain
b. Woman => Man = Eve
c. Man & Woman = Us Normal Human Beings
d. Woman Without A Man = God Manifest In The Flesh
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
