RESULTS OF SALVATION
(Soteriology : Doctrine Of Salvation)
SECTION 1: MEANING OF SALVATION

1. Saved From God's Wrath: Hell
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

2. Regeneration (Reborn)
a. We Need To Be Born Again To See The Kingdom Of God

John 3:3-6 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
* Born again: 1st birth is physical birth, 2nd birth is spiritual birth

b. Washing Of Regeneration
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
* regeneration = born again = Holy Ghost renews us

SECTION 2: IN RELATION TO GOD THE FATHER

1. Access: We Get Boldness To Have Access To God
Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
* Before we got born again, we have sin and He cannot talk to us
* After we are saved, we get "boldness" to access God: God is no longer fearful

2. Adoption: We Got Adopted By God, He Become Our Father And We Are Now His Child
Galatians 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
* Predestine = God sets our destiny

3. Inheritance: We Become An Heir Of God And We Gain Inheritence
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

4. Election / Predestination
a. Elect According To The Foreknowledge Of God

1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
* Wrong teaching by Calvinist: before we got saved, God elected us to be saved. - this is wrong
* Right Teaching: God elects us after we got saved, it is through salvation we got elected. Not before we got saved or before salvation

b. Chosen Us In Him Before The Foundation Of The World
Ephesians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
* Wrong teaching by Calvinist: before the foundation of the world God elect us
* Look at the condition to be elected - "we should be holy and without blame before him in love"
* This means only saved people are elected

c. Predestinated Us Unto The Adoption Of Children By Jesus Christ To Himself
Ephesians 1:5, 7 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
* Look at the condition to be elected - "only people who have redemption through His blood"
* This means only saved people are elected
* Before God created the foundation of the world, He decided that as soon as people receive His son for salvation, He is going to elect them and take them to heaven

6. Priesthood: Chosen Generation, Royal Priesthood
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
* In the old testament, people had to go the priests to do intercession for them for forgiveness of sins
* We don’t have to do that anymore

7. Reconciliation
a. We Were Reconciled To God By The Death of His Son

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
* It means reconcile, bringing two divisions together again
* Before we got saved, we are separated from God because we are sinners and He is a holy God. We were damn for hell. All these divisions are gone when we are saved

b. We Are Made Nigh By The Blood Of Christ
Ephesians 2:12-13 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
