FINDING THE LORD'S WILL FOR CHRISTIANS
(Christianology : Doctrine Of Christians)
1. God Wants Us To Be Like Jesus Christ
1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
* it Is a demand, not and option
a. We Follow It Because Jesus Does It
Hebrews 10:5-7, 10 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all..
John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
* We are to follow God's will and to finish it
b. We Follow It Because Paul Does It
Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
* Paul completed it
2. These Following Things Are The Will Of God
a. Abstain From Fornication

b. Give Thanks In Everything
1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
c. To Do Good Deeds, Testimony
1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
1. After Salvation God's Will Was Already Set
Philippians 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
2. Will Of God Follows A Specific Measure Of Faith Or Task
Romans 12:2-3 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:6-8 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
* God's is not going to give us something greater than we can bear, He will give us something that we can handle
3. God Wants Us To Do His Will

7. It is Continuous
Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
