*. Replenish the earth (that means there were other people before Adam)
* Adam is replacing them and is to replenish the earth with humans [see Job 38:4-7]
5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
* Way back before Adam, during the time when God laid the foundations of the earth, heavenly beings (the morning stars and the sons of God) were populating the earth
* But now in the Edenic Covenant, Adam is replacing them and is to replenish the earth with humans
* That’s why it makes sense why Satan and his demonic beings hates us so much because this was supposed to be their planet
* Problem with environmentalist today talks about preserving the world (eg. don’t cut down the trees we got to save the earth. The earth is going to die etc.)
* We don’t worry about that. Why? Because of premillennialism
* Jesus Christ is going to physically return to earth (the Second coming) and set up His Kingdom
* That’s why this doctrine is important it answers a lot of wrong teachings
* This earth is not ours. It belongs to God. God knows what to do with His planet
* God knows that we got to take care of our own life and our family and loved ones so put the earth to good use.
* We don’t have to worry about saving mother earth. God knows how to take care of them. God will take care of the earth when He returns in His 1000 year earthly reign on earth
* some will ask why not we do this today?
* we’re going to find out later on. This is why dispensationalism is important. When there are terms of another covenant that shows why things have changed
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
* There are people who will argue and say that eating the fruit is a good thing as they gain more knowledge as a result
* What happens is this, one gains more knowledge but they loose their innocence
* It was better back then where they were innocent rather than getting the knowledge and they have to bear the responsibility and concequences of their sin
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
* Adam and Eve lost their salvation and they died spiritually and eventually they died physically.
* Many people teach that salvation has been the same from back then till now. That’s not true
* They were not saved by believing in the death, buriel and ressurection of Jesus Christ (His blood atonement for our sins)
* They were by obeying God’s commandment: “don’t eat the fruit”.
* Their’s is based on works setup while our’s is based on faith alone (without works) setup
* Body = formed man of the dust of the ground,
* Spirit = breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. (Spirit means wind, breath, air)
* Soul = man became a living soul
* Adam has an uncontaminated body, soul and spirit during this time
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
* there are a lot of people even scholars said they did not die
* the problem is these people do not understand dispensationalism.
* What was Adam created with? Its body, soul and spirit.
* His spirit died and eventually his body died anyway
* that’s why this doctrine is important. Many people find so many problems with the bible is because they don’t study the covenants and dispensationalism
* All throughout these generations. We carry his death
* Adam ate the fruit and something died
* God said if they eat the tree, they will die.
* Did they die? Yes. They did die and it carried on to all of us
a. This Verse Shows That We Were Dead And We Had To Be Quicken (Made Alive) By God
* quicken = made alive
* oldness of the letter refers to our dead state
* When Adam sinned, his spirit was dead, but now because of what Jesus did, we are now made alive. Our spirit is now alive
* eventually they did die physically
* Because man's spirit was dead, God's spiritual dealings are very rare and we will hardly find anything about God's spiritual dealings in the entire old testament. Its all physical
* Why? Because man’s spirit is dead and God can’t spiritually deal with them.
* Because of this, God did mostly physical dealings in the old testament
* This study is important because it already answers so many confusion already and it lays the foundation on how to understand the bible more clearly and helps us to answer a lot of wrong teachings
* Salvation is not the same from the beginning to the end
