SECTION 1: 7 WONDERS OF THE BIBLE
1. Formation
* One book written in one place in one language
* Another book written in another country centuries later in another language, with all of them coming together to teach events that have not yet taken place.
2. Unification
* Its a library of 66 books yet only one book. It has but one author, the Holy Spirit and there are no contradictions
3. Age
* It is the most ancient of all books. There are no other books in the entire world that is more ancient than the bible
4. Sale
* It is the only book that is read by all classes, ages, sexes, children, and nations.
5. Interest
* The only book that is read by all classes, nations and ages of mankind
6. Language
* It was written mostly by uneducated man. There are also brilliant man like King Solomon, a physician Luke. It is considered to be a masterpiece today.
7. Preservation
* The bible is the most hated book. Time and time again kings and governments have sought to burn and abolish the book. The Catholic church throughout centuries have hunted down and tried to get the scriptures from the hands of people who were protecting the bible.There were fragments and manuscripts and copies of parts of it that they had to preserve and writers had to write down by hand before the printing press came out. Yet, God has preserved it for men to this day. It can be found in almost every home.
SECTION 2: 7 SYMBOLS OF THE BIBLE
1. Sword
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
* The Bible is a pointed word that convicts the hearer.
* Its two-edged because it is either for us or againts us. It can be use for us to attack our enemies or even against us where we can injure ourselves
2. Hammer
Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
* The Bible is powerful and breaks the resistance of the hearer.
* The word of God smashes us all over
3. Seed
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
* The Bible is a living word, regenerating the hearer.
* Its able produce life and grow in our life
4. Mirror
James 1:22-25 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
* The Bible is a faithful reflection revealing the individual to himself. * Its able to show us our own defects which we overlook
5. Fire
Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
Jeremiah 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.
* The Bible is a burning word that consumes the dross in the hearer.

6. Lamp
Psalms 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
* The Bible is an illuminating word, guiding the believer day by day.
* Word of God guides us on every path of the way
7. Food
a. Like Apples
Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
b. Like Milk
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
c. Like Meat
1 Corinthians 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
Hebrews 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
d. Like Bread
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
e. Like Honey
Psalm 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Note:
* *This list contains the complete diet that any man in the world could live off for 80 years.
*All these references/symbols give men complete ‘survival equipment’. When they have the word of God, they have complete equipment for survival to last a lifetime in just one Book. The word of God convicts, breaks, regenerates, reveals, cleans, sanctifies, consumes, illuminates, and nourishes the individual.
SECTION 3: 7 REASONS FOR PREACHING THE WORD OF GOD
Jesus Faced The Multitude And Made A Tremendous Decision, Which Was To Preach The Word Of God
Mark 2:2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
* We are sent not to preach a new church but Christ as He is revealed in the bible
Men Insist On Preaching The Bible Because It Endures Time And Eternity
Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
* Grass is like human nature where it dies but the word of God endures forever
1. Conviction
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
* Convictions of sins comes through the preaching of the word of God
2. Faith
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
3. Cleansing
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
* Word of God cleanses us
4. Assurance
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
* Word of God assures we are saved
5. Comfort
1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
* Word of God gives us comfort
6. Truth
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
7. New Birth
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
* It saves our soul from hell
SECTION 4: 7 REASONS SOME DO NOT READ THE BIBLE
1. Ignorant Of Its Truth
Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
2. Its Already Eaten: They Are Feeding on Ashes
Isaiah 44:20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
* Eating or feeding on ashes, Feeding on politics, comics, etc
* feeding on the wrong kinds of things
3. Sickness
* A sin sick soul has no appetite for the word of God
4. Lunching Between Meals
* they are only interested on the things of this world
5. The Book Lacks Flavour
* Does not suite their taste buds
6. The Book Is Too Sweet
Revelation 10:8-10 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
* Some think that the Bible is only for the sick, aged, and dying. It’s too sweet and sentimental for practical, healthy people.
7. The Book Is Too Bitter
Revelation 10:8-10 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
* The truths of judgment, hell, and sin are too bitter. Some people are afraid to read the Bible.
SECTION 5: 7 REASONS TO READ THE BIBLE
1. Read It Lovingly
* Because it is the word of our saviour to us
2. Read It Reverently
* With deep and solemn respect
* The Bible is the word of God, the Almighty Saviour, and Judge.
3. Read It Prayerfully
* The Bible is God’s message to man, to his own heart and life.
4. Read It Meditatively
* Be like Isaac of old and meditate on the word of God.
5. Read It Systematically
* Read through the Bible, not just selected portions.
6. Read It Resolutely
* One shall obey that which the Father teaches him from His book.
7. Read It Daily
